Barb Callahan
Barb's Originals
Barb Callahan is a nationally recognized designer, teacher and lecturer. She has designed and constructed one of a kind garments using her label "Barb Originals" for over 25 years. She holds a degree in education with a masters in counseling. A Martha Pullen educator and an ASG and PACC member, she is known for her classes not only being full of information and highly educational but also full of fun and laughter. Barb has recently become a contributing author for Threads magazine and Sew Beautiful magazine and has also begun her own newsletter full of stories from the road and information on her products.

Machine Needles -- Your Best friends

Double eyed needles, twin needles wing needles and others all play a part in both construction and embellishment of Barb's garments. Barb will demonstrate many needle techniques that will intrigue you and help you create a more interesting and creative look in your sewing. Class fee: $10.

This is a decorative as well as a functional scarf. This unique design gives you multiple hidden pockets to carry necessities (such as fabric stash money). Complete this scarf in three hours but be prepared to make many more.
Student needs to bring a machine, gray and black thread and basic sewing supplies.
Hands on three hour class.
Class fee: $35. Kit fee: $22.(kit fee paid to instructor at beginning of class)

Use one of Barb's looms to create a one of a kind bag from interesting fibers. You will finish this bag in class and receive many compliments when you leave.
Kit includes everything you need except scissors and a tapestry needle.

You will need to bring the following supplies if you are taking any hands-on
classes: sharp sewing
shears, rotary cutter,
cutting mat, straight pins,
marking tool, ruler, tape
measure, #2 pencils and
notepad.
Sewing machines are
provided in the classroom.
