Presented by Debbie Wendt, Wendt Quilting From traditional to fused, hand sewn to machine and quilts to clothing, be inspired by an array of binding styles to finish your edges.

Fan-tastic Fans
Presented by Marilyn Doheny, Doheny Publications This demonstration shows how to take simple strips of "high contrast" fabric (or printed stripped fabric) and using Marilyn Doheny's 9 degree Circle Wedge Rulers - cut wedges at assorted angles creating a diverse array of fan patterns!

Presented by Darlene Miller, Clothes For You Learn how to select the correct style for your garment patterns that will guarantee every creative item will be an art piece that will be comfortable to wear and look good on you. With this basic information you can create a one-of-a-kind wardrobe of "art to wear" and be proud to wear it!

Presented by Connie Crawford, Fashion Patterns By Coni Fall/Winter 2011-12 promises to be a rather complex season, especially due to the difficult international economic situation and its effects on producers, buyers, and consumers. As people become more responsible with their lifestyles, there is a change in attitude about how they dress.
Internationally experienced fashion editors who follow the runway shows in Paris, Milan, London, and New York publish a wide variety of magazines, books and color charts. Using this information, Connie Crawford will present the latest in trends in design, fashion, fabric and colors for the fall/winter 2011-2012 season.

What Is a Batik & What Do You Do With It?
Presented by Cathy Scovill. A brief history of batik. Step by step samples of how batik fabric paintings are made, from pencil drawing on muslin, through wax and dye techniques, removing wax, to color fast finished fabric. Includes a magnificent trunk show highlighting quilts from wall-hanging to queen size, garments and home dec ideas.

A "cording" to Pam
Presented by Pam Damour, The Decorating Diva Learn the many ways to make corded trim, from single to double welt, to shirred welting and sewing on twisted cord. Cording is among the most economical of trims and they're so easy to make and use. Join Pam and make your sewing projects sizzle!

How To Make Quilted Heirlooms
Presented by Darlene Miller, Clothes For You Making treasures to be handed down to future generations is your legacy to your family. Learn how to select patterns, colors, fabrics and quilting designs to create those heirlooms. No special skills or equipment needed - just your desire to work with fabric creating beautiful quilts to be used and enjoyed as well as shared with future family members.

Strata Art Quilts
Presented by Marilyn Doheny, Doheny Publications Marilyn will show how simple fabric units called "strata" can be cleverly cut apart to create amazingly contemporary quilt images. All images are very powerful geometric patterns, based on traditional blocks - yet strikingly contemporary using her fabric and cutting techniques.

Trimming Secrets of a Decorator Workroom
Presented by Pam Damour, The Decorating Diva What's the difference between a $25 pillow and a $250 pillow? It's all in the trimmings and most of them you can make yourself! Learn how to make knife pleats, box pleats, ruching, ruffles and more! And make them in a snap using tricks of the trade!

Presented by Marilyn Doheny, Doheny Publications This demonstration is filled with quilts of all sizes, made from fans that have been turned into flowers, butterflies, bumble bees, dragon flies and birds. The entire diverse fan images have been quickly and easily made using Marilyn Doheny's creative 9 Degree Circle Wedge Rulers. Simple sewing and almost no seam matching are featured!

Presented by Cindy Losekamp, Sew Artfully Yours See a parade of beautiful new garments that have been created using denim shirts and jeans, T-shirts and sweatshirts. You will learn how to make them shorter, longer with Cindy's fun and interesting samples. See Applique, Embroidery, Landscapes, using Vintage pieces and much more! You'll be enthralled as she shows a bevy of unique and different ways to modify our old standbys into the perfect outfit.

Bargello Tapestry Designs
Presented by Marilyn Doheny, Doheny Publications Mesmerizing flowing motion, can be quickly created, "in the moment" using a few simple techniques developed by Marilyn Doheny. Audience participation with no pre-planning or graph paper will create undulating peaks and swells using fast accurate cutting techniques. There are three rules for a fabulous Bargello Tapestry Quilts appeal - come and learn what they are and how to use them yourself, perhaps to win a ribbon at the next quilt show or perhaps gain a hug from loved one!

As a Public Show Salesperson you will be responsible for the financial success of our public expo events. You will be responsible for selling the expo by contacting former vendors and cold calling potential new vendors as well as sponsorship and help build attendance. Your responsibility will be to foster and maintain relationships with key industry accounts to increase vendor sales and attendance by communicating the value of the event. Candidate will also assist in expanding to different markets.
